6 Days Morocco desert tour description:
Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat.
Once we have breakfast, we will depart for our 6 days Morocco private tour from Casablanca starting with the Casablanca City tour, to visit Hassan 2 mosque. This mosque is one of the famous landmarks of Casablanca with a 210m altitude minaret. Afterward, we’ll drive towards Rabat “the capital city of Morocco”. On our arrival, we are going visit some of the city’s famous monuments such as the Kasbah of Oudaya, Rabat’s old Medina, and Shella Necropolis where the Roman and Islamic cultures are still in scattered stones and mosques. After we finish our City tour, we are going to drive to our accommodation to check in for our rooms.
Day 2: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fes.
Breakfast and depart for another private day tour from Rabat towards Meknes which is classified as the 2nd Imperial City of Morocco. Our road trip will allow us to enjoy the green hills and fields of palm trees between Rabat and Meknes. Upon our arrival, we will Bad Mansour which means Mansour Gate, then continue our Private trip to Volubilis Roman Ruins. According to the arrival time, we can go on a guided visit to discover the Roman ruins and arts before we continue to Fes for the night in our Riad in Medina.
Day 3: Fes guided tour.
Our 3rd day will start with a Moroccan breakfast, then meet our Fes local guide who is going to take us on the Fez city tour to discover the most famous location in the city. Starting our visit with Fez largest old Medina in the world; Then continue to the Jemaa of Karaouyine which is classified as the first university in the world, and The Maderssa of Bounania. We are also going to visit one of the El tanneries and artisan quarters, and the fascinating souks are just some of the many places to see. After a while, we will drive to one of the panoramic spots in the city to see the whole Fez from the top and continue to our riad in the Medina for the night.
Day 4: Fes to Merzouga via the Middle Atlas.
The 4th day of our tour will start by driving from Fes towards the Middle Atlas, passing by the City of Ifrane to arrive at Azrou Cedar forest. Here, we can take a short stop to the Barbarian Apes and enjoy the view of the high forest trees. After some time, we can continue our Morocco Desert tour towards the southeast of Morocco with a drive in the Valley of Ziz. Upon arrival at the desert of Merzouga, we are going to meet tour Camelman who is going to take us on a guided Camel trekking caravan to see the sunset on the top of the dunes. After a while, we’ll continue with our camels to our Luxury desert camp for the night in the heart of the dunes under the bright stars and Camp tents. The Camp is fully prepared with a private toilet and hot shower with a bed according to your choice in every tent.
Day 5: Merzouga desert dunes – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley.
According to your choice, you might want to wake up early in the morning to see an amazing sunrise over the dunes before you have breakfast.
As soon as everyone is ready, we will continue our Morocco Sahara tour by driving from Merzouga Desert towards Erfoud city where we can take a short stop to visit one of the Fossils workshops before we depart for Todra Gorge. Upon arrival at the 300-meter altitude Gorge, we are going to enjoy a short walk and enjoy the views of this natural miracle. The 5th day of our Morocco private tour continues to Dades Valley where we will stop for the night. Dinner and night in a Moroccan Riad.
Day 6: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – High Atlas mountains – Marrakech.
After breakfast, we are going to depart for our 6th-day tour by driving towards the Rose Valley which is also known as “The Valley of Thousand Kasbahs”. Then continue to the city of Ouarzazate “The Hollywood of Africa” where we can see the Kasbah of Taourirt and the Cinema Studio. After some time, we’ll drive to approach the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, which is classified as one of the UNESCO heritage located in the foothills on the southern slopes. Upon our arrival, we can go on a guided tour to visit this amazing monument with our driver or guide. Once we finish our visit, we have lunch in one of the Moroccan local restaurants near the Kasbah.
Sometime in the afternoon, we will continue our journey towards the red city of Marrakech by crossing the High Atlas mountains. Our Morocco Merzouga desert tour comes to an end in your accommodation in Marrakech.
