5 days Desert tour from Marrakech to Tangier
Trip Description:
Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate – Rose Valley – Dades Valley.
After breakfast, our English-speaking driver will come to greet us at the riad in Marrakech, then depart for our 5 days Marrakech Tangier desert tour. We will travel along the high Atlas mountains on the way to Ait Benhaddou World UNESCO heritage including some panoramic stops. Upon arrival at the Ait Benhaddou, we will go on a guided visit to explore the kasbah with our English-speaking driver/guide. After we finish the visit, we will take our lunch break in a local restaurant before our private tour continues.
Our journey will continue towards the city of Ouarzazate which is known as the Hollywood of Africa. According to your choice, we might take a short stop at the Cinema studio to take some photos and at the panoramic kasbah of Taourirt. We then continue toward the Rose Vally or also known as the Valley of Thousand Kasbahs. Here, we will enjoy the views of the Moroccan traditional buildings on the way to Dades Valley where we will check in for our rooms. Dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Tinjdad – Erfoud – Desert dunes “Camel trekking – Overnight in Standard or Luxury Camp”.
Once we take our breakfast, we will depart for our Marrakech Tangier desert tour on the second day. Driving from Dades Valley towards the desert dunes with some stops at some sightseeing on our way. Our first stop will be at Todra Valley to take some photos of the panoramic valley with its amazing view of mud houses and visit the canyons of Todra which stand at an altitude of 300 Meters. Walk under the canyons and enjoy the view of it before we continue our day trip.
After a while, our trip will be continuing via a couple of Ksors “Berber villages” with another stop in Erfoud town “The fossil capital”. Our stop will be for lunch and visit one of the fossil and marble workshops. Upon arrival at the desert dunes, we will go on camel trekking to see an amazing sunset accompanied by our English-speaking camel man. Afterward, we will return by camels to our luxury desert camp for an evening party of drums with dinner and overnight under Moroccan luxury/Standard camp. Our camps are fully prepared with private toilets and showers.
Day 3: Desert dunes – Ziz Valley – Middle Atlas – Azrou Cedar forest – Ifrane – Fes
Since we are in the heart of the sand dunes, we might want to wake up to see the sunrise over the sand dunes before our breakfast.
Breakfast will be taken in the camp restaurant before we depart for the third day of our Marrakech Tangier desert tour. We will leave the desert dunes by driving towards the Palm grove of Ziz. A Valley of thousands of palm trees and olive trees. We will take a short stop in a panoramic stop to take some photos of the Valley.
Our trip continues towards the Middle Atlas mountains, passing by Midelt “The Apple capital”, including a lunch break at the same city. The journey continues towards the Cedar forest of Azrou to see the Berber apes. Afterward, we will drive to Fes passing by Ifrane city. Upon our arrival, we will check in for our rooms in our riad in Fes.
Day 4: Fes half-day guided visit – Ouazzane – Rif mountains – Chefchaouen blue city
In the morning we will have breakfast, then meet our local guide to take us on a guided tour to Fes for half day.
Sometime in the afternoon, we will drive to Chefchaouen blue city passing by the Rif mountains and enjoying the views of its green olive trees. The way to Chefchaouen will include a few stops if you needed to go to the washroom or smoke. Upon arrival at the blue city, we will check in for our riad rooms with dinner and overnight included.
Day 5: Chefchaouen blue city visit for 3 hours – Rif mountains – Tangier
As soon as we have breakfast, we will go on a walking visit to discover the blue city of Chefchaouen for 3 hours. Once everyone is ready, we will drive to Tangier passing by the Rif mountains and their panoramic sightseeing. Upon arrival at Tangier, we will accompany you to your hotel where our Marrakech to Tangier desert tour’s 5th day comes to the end.
