3 days tour from Fes to Merzouga

Tour description:

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou Cedar Forest – Midelt – Middle Atlas – Desert dunes.

At the scheduled time, our English-speaking driver will come to greet us and depart for our 3 days Fes desert tour. We’ll drive to Ifrane city “The Switzerland of Morocco”, then continue our way to approach the Cedar forest of Azrou. Here, we will meet the Berber Apes and take some photos.

After some time, we continue driving toward the Middle Atlas including a stop at one of the mountainous villages to have our lunch break. Once we take lunch, our desert trip continues towards the desert of Morocco by crossing the Palm grove of Ziz with its palm and olive trees. Upon our arrival in the desert, we will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea in our Riad/Hotel while checking in. Dinner and overnight.

Fez or Fes is a city in northern inland Morocco and the 2nd largest city in Morocco. Fes is located in the northwest of the Atlas Mountains. It is surrounded by hills and the old city is centered around the Fez River “Oued Fes” flowing from west to east.
Fez was founded in 789 as Fas on the southeast bank of the Jaohar River “now known as the Fez River” by Idriss I, founder of the Idrisid dynasty.
