Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou Cedar Forest – Midelt – Middle Atlas – Desert dunes.
At the scheduled time, our English-speaking driver will come to greet us and depart for our 4 days Fes desert tour. We’ll drive to Ifrane city “The Switzerland of Morocco”, then continue our way to approach the Cedar forest of Azrou. Once we arrive at the forest, we’ll see the Berber Apes while we feed them. Afterward, we continue driving toward the Middle Atlas including a stop at one of the mountainous villages to have our lunch break. Our desert trip continues towards the desert of Morocco by crossing the Palm grove of Ziz with its palm and olive trees. Upon our arrival in the desert, we will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea in our Riad/Hotel while checking in. Dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Desert excursion on 4×4 “Camel trekking – Night in luxury desert camp”
Our desert 4×4 excursion starts after breakfast. We will drive along the Erg Chebbi, a great extension of a sandy desert, where we can find the big dunes of Morocco at 250 meters altitude. We take the road of ‘Rally Dakar’ to Tissardmin oasis where we can find fossil quarries still present in the area. Our off-road trip continues to see a nomad settlement and learn their secrets and manners before we drive to the black people’s village of Khamlia. At this village, we will visit one of their Gnawa music school and enjoy a dance time with mint tea. Afterward, we will continue to a Berber restaurant to have Berber Pizza for lunch. Once we have our lunch, we will dive into the hotel/riad to get ready for our Camel trekking experience to the top of the sand dunes where we will see the amazing sunset. We then return with camels to our luxury desert camp overnight under the tents. The camp is fully prepared with a private toilet and shower.
Day 3: Desert dunes – Rissani guided visit – Erfoud guided visit – Desert dunes “Night in the Riad”.
After breakfast in the camp restaurant, we will drive along the desert dunes and black fields of Acacia trees on the way to Rissani city “The economic city of Draa Tafilalet before. Upon our arrival, we will go on a guided visit to discover its markets and bazaars. After some time, we will drive towards Erfoud “the fossil and date capital of Morocco”. Here, we will visit one of its marbles and fossils workshops. Afterward, we will go for a guided visit to one of its dates markets and walk in its traditional and spices market. After our guided visit, we will go for our lunch in a restaurant, then depart back to the desert for overnight in our Riad rooms.
Day 4: Desert dunes – Ziz Valley – Middle Atlas – Midelt – Azrou Cedar forest – Ifrane – Fes.
After breakfast, we leave the desert with great memories and drive along the desert fields of the South-east to join the green Palm grove of Ziz with its great views of Palm and olive trees. Here, we will take our first stop at one of the Valley’s panoramic spots and enjoy the morning view of this valley from the top with a glass of coffee according to your choice. After some time, we will depart again and head towards the Middle Atlas mountains of Morocco, passing by the Apple Capital city of Midelt and taking our lunch stop. After lunch, we continue driving willing to approach Fes passing by Ifrane city. End of our Fes desert tour.
