Fez or Fes is a city in northern inland Morocco and the 2nd largest city in Morocco. Fes is located in the northwest of the Atlas Mountains. It is surrounded by hills and the old city is centered around the Fez River “Oued Fes” flowing from west to east.
Fez was founded in 789 as Fas on the southeast bank of the Jaohar River “now known as the Fez River” by Idriss I, founder of the Idrisid dynasty.

Overview about the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah:

Ait Benhaddou Kasbah is a fortified village since the eleventh century during the Almoravid period. It’s located along the caravan route between Marrakech and Sahara desert. Ait Benhaddou is considered a UNESCO World Heritage since the year of 1987.
The kasbah structures are made out of rammed earth, clay bricks, adobe, and wood in the ceiling.

We will start with Koutoubia the largest mosque in Marrakech with a nice look minaret. This mosque is also known as the Mosque of booksellers. It’s located in the southwest of the Medina in front of the famous Jamaa El Fna square.
The Koutoubia mosque was founded in 1147 by El Mohad Caliph Abd Elmumen.
