Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat.
After breakfast, we will start our Casablanca 6 days desert tour by driving to visit Hassan 2 mosque. This mosque is a breathtaking landmark of Casablanca with a 210m altitude minaret. After some time, we will drive towards Rabat “the capital city of Morocco”. On our arrival, we will visit the Kasbah of Oudaya, Rabat’s old Medina, and Chella Necropolis where the Roman and Islamic cultures are standing still in scattered stones and mosques, respectively, throughout centuries. Once we finish our visit, we will drive to our accommodation for checking in our rooms.
Day 2: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fes
Once we have breakfast, we will depart from Rabat along vast agricultural fields towards the city of Meknes “the second imperial city of Morocco”. Upon our arrival, we will visit the gate of Bab Mansor another historical heritage site where you can take memorable photos. Our day trip continues toward the sacred city of Moulay Idriss, then to the Roman ruins of Volubilis “the archeological remains of the Roman civilization in Morocco”. Volubilis is a truly impressive setting selected by UNESCO as a cultural heritage site for humanity. After our visit to Volubilis, we will drive to Fes city for overnight.
Day 3: Fes guided visit with our English-speaking guide.
After we take breakfast, our English-speaking local guide will come to meet us and take us on a guided visit to Fes. Fes is an intellectual capital with the largest old Medina in the world. We will visit its numerous monuments which have thousands of stories to tell visitors, the Jemaa Karaouyine “the first university to be established in the world”, The Maderssa of Bounania, the El tanneries and artisan quarters, and the fascinating souks are just some of the many places to see. Overnight in Fes.
Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou cedar forest – Ziz valley – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga desert dunes.
Our breakfast will be in one of the Riad terrasse, then depart for our 4th-day tour. Today, we will go to a totally different part of Morocco. On the way to approach the desert dunes, we will pass through Ifrane which is known as “The Switzerland of Morocco”, then to Azrou Cedar forest. At this forest, we will take a stop to see the Berber apes, then continue our trip towards the Middle Atlas mountains to arrive at Ziz Valley. We can take a short stop at this Palm grove to enjoy the view or panoramic nature from the top before continuing to the desert. Once we arrive at the desert, we will meet our English-speaking camel man who will take us on a camel trekking experience to catch an amazing sunset on the top of the sand dunes…
After a while, we will camel trek straight to our luxury desert camp for an evening party in the heart of the sand dunes with dinner and overnight under the tents. “The camp is fully prepared with private toilets and showers”.
Day 5: Merzouga desert dunes – Erfoud – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley – Dades Gorge.
Since we are in the heart of the sand dunes, we will take the opportunity to wake up earlier in the morning to see the sunrise over the sand dunes. Afterward, we will have breakfast, then depart for our 5th-day trip.
We’ll drive along the desert fields of Acacia trees including a stop at one of the nomad families to discover their wild lifestyle. Afterward, we will continue driving toward the city of Erfoud and to Tinghir where we can visit the Todra Valley and its amazing canyons with an altitude of 300 Meters. After a while, we continue driving to Dades Valley where we can see the Monkey toes rocks, and head to Dades Gorge for overnight in our Riad.
Day 6: Dades Gorge – Rose Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – High Atlas mountains – Marrakech
After breakfast in our Riad, we will depart for our 6th-day tour by driving towards the Rose Valley which is also known as “The Valley of thousand kasbahs”, because of its houses forms. Then continue to the city Ouarzazate “The Hollywood of Africa”. In this city, we will visit Taourirt Kasbah and the Cinema Studio. After some time, we will drive to approach the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, one of the UNESCO heritage located in the foothills on the southern slopes. Here, our driver or guide will accompany us on a walking visit to this breathtaking Kasbah, walking in its alleys and stairs and rocks. After a while, we will return for lunch in one of the local restaurants.
Once we have lunch, we will depart towards the city of Marrakech through the High Atlas mountains and Tizi N Tichka pass at 2600 Meters altitude. Upon our arrival at Marrakech, we will accompany you to your accommodation where our 6 days desert tour comes to the end.
