3 days tour from Fes to Merzouga

Tour description:

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou Cedar Forest – Midelt – Middle Atlas – Desert dunes.

At the scheduled time, our English-speaking driver will come to greet us and depart for our 3 days Fes desert tour. We’ll drive to Ifrane city “The Switzerland of Morocco”, then continue our way to approach the Cedar forest of Azrou. Here, we will meet the Berber Apes and take some photos.

After some time, we continue driving toward the Middle Atlas including a stop at one of the mountainous villages to have our lunch break. Once we take lunch, our desert trip continues towards the desert of Morocco by crossing the Palm grove of Ziz with its palm and olive trees. Upon our arrival in the desert, we will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea in our Riad/Hotel while checking in. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Merzouga Day desert tour

Including Camel trekking – Overnight in Standard or Luxury Camp.

In the morning, we’ll take breakfast and get ready for our desert excursion. Starting with a drive along the Erg Chebbi, a great extension of a sandy desert, where we can find the big dunes of Morocco at 250 meters altitude. We take the road of ‘Rally Dakar’ to Tissardmin oasis where we can find fossil quarries still present in the area. Our off-road trip continues to see a nomad settlement and learn their secrets and manners before we drive to the black people’s village of Khamlia.

At this village, we will visit one of their Gnawa music school and enjoy a dance time with mint tea. Afterward, we will continue to a Berber restaurant to have Berber Pizza for lunch. Once we have our lunch, we will dive into the hotel/riad to get ready for our Camel trekking experience to the top of the sand dunes where we will see the amazing sunset. We then return with camels to our luxury desert camp overnight under the tents. The camp is fully prepared with a private toilet and shower.

Day 3: Merzouga desert to Fes.

According to your choice, we can wake up early in the morning to see the sunrise over the sand dunes. Afterward, we will take breakfast in our camp restaurant.

After everyone is ready, we will drive along the desert fields of Acacia trees on the way back to Fes. Since it’s our last day tour, we will make sure we enjoy the most of it. Upon arrival to Fes, we will accompany you to your accommodation where our desert tour comes to the end.
